Nepal Airlines Corporation has signed a purchase agreement for two Airbus A330-200 jets with US-based AAR Corp completing the largest-ever deal in Nepal’s aviation history.

The two jets are expected to arrive in Nepal by April and May 2018, NAC Managing Director Sugat Ratna Kansakar told Onlinekhabar.
The American company had quoted a price of $104.8 million for each of the jets. NAC officials said that the final contract price is around $209.6 million (Rs 20.9 billion).
The NAC had issued a notice inviting proposals from aircraft manufacturers, airlines, aircraft leasing companies and bankers for two Airbus A330-200 aircraft on September 26, 2016.
