Kathmandu, November 7
The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 909,375 as of Sunday afternoon.
The ministry said 143 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.
In this period, 1,980 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 141 returned positive. Likewise, 353 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 2 tested positive.
Of total tests, 7.12 per cent of the PCR and 0.56 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 6.12 per cent.
As of today, there are 7,713 active cases across the country. Of them, 589 are hospitalised, 197 in intensive care units and 49 on ventilators.
In the past 24 hours, 563 people have achieved recovery whereas nine deaths has been reported.
Of the total cases so far, 795,397 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,448 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.6 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent.
Meanwhile, no one was vaccinated today.
