Nepal Covid-19 tally: 317 new cases, 279 recoveries, 6 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, November 11

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 911,090 as of Thursday afternoon.

The ministry said 317 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 9,609 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 301 returned positive. Likewise, 3,044 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 16 tested positive.

Of total tests, 3.13 per cent of the PCR and 0.52 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 2.50 per cent.

As of today, there are 7,535 active cases across the country. Of them, 525 are hospitalised, 188 in intensive care units and 54 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 279 people have achieved recovery whereas six deaths were been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 797,059 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,466 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.6 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent.

Meanwhile, 4,516 people were vaccinated today.
