Kathmandu, November 9
The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 910,333 as of Tuesday afternoon.
The ministry said 533 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.
In this period, 14,918 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 443 returned positive. Likewise, 1,818 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 90 tested positive.
Of total tests, 2.96 per cent of the PCR and 4.95 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 3.18 per cent.
As of today, there are 7,612 active cases across the country. Of them, 535 are hospitalised, 199 in intensive care units and 55 on ventilators.
In the past 24 hours, 484 people have achieved recovery whereas one death has been reported.
Of the total cases so far, 796,303 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,454 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.6 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent.
Meanwhile, 43,380 people were vaccinated today.
