Nepal government, Patriotic Forum holding talks on Thursday

Kathmandu, June 23

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is hold talks with a 33-party political front which is under the leadership of Shovaram Thapa, president of Rastravadi Manch (the Patriotic Forum), on Thursday (June 23).

Chetan Adhikari, PM Oli’s press adviser, said the talks will take place on Thursday afternoon. Before second Constituent Assembly elections, Maoist leader Mohan Baidhya had led the front. After Baidhya left, we have been leading the front, Thapa said.

“We parted ways with Baidhya with a decision to involve ourselves in parliamentary politics,” Thapa said.

Asked about the front’s demands, Thapa demanded registration of the front of 33 parties as one party. He said other demands include berths in the government and resolution of problems facing the landless.
