Rastriya Janamorcha has demanded that the government make public the letter that Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ wrote to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi through the sovereign Parliament.

Speaking in the Parliament on Thursday, RJ Chair and former deputy prime minister Chitra Bahadur KC said the government should answer questions regarding the secret letter in the Parliament.

Some days ago, a former DPM and present DPM engaged in a war of words at Baluwatar, KC said, adding: It has come to light that the present DPM recently went to a neighbouring country in the capacity of PM’s special emissary, carrying a letter that pledged to amend Nepal’s Constitution. The former DPM and the DPM almost came to blows on the issue.

Hush-hush deals have been taking place for coming to power and retaining power, at the expense of the country, KC noted.

Local elections have not taken place for 19 years, the lawmaker said, adding that efforts are on to stall elections further and block the implementation of the Constitution.

He said: Plots are afoot to keep the country in a state of indecision in the name of border demarcation. We should be aware of this.
