Nepal sweeps T20 Series against the United States

Nepal has achieved a clean sweep in the three-match T20I series against the United States. By defeating the US by 8 wickets in the third match, Nepal completed the series sweep. Nepal won the first match by 17 runs and secured the second match in a super over.

In the third and final match held this morning, Nepal successfully chased down the target of 157 runs set by the US, finishing at 158 for 2 in 18.4 overs. Nepal’s Asif Sheikh scored 50 runs and Anil Shah contributed 13 runs, while Kushal Malla remained unbeaten with 44 runs and Kushal Bhurtel scored 40 runs.

For the US, Juvanay Drysdale and Jasdeep Singh took one wicket each. Earlier, the US won the toss in Dallas and chose to bat first, scoring 156 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. For the US, Saiteja Mukammal made 68 runs, Milind Kumar scored 43, Aaron Jones contributed 13 runs, and Harmit Singh added 10 runs. The remaining batters failed to reach double digits.

Nepal’s Sompal Kami took 3 wickets, while Rijan Dhakal and Lalit Rajbanshi took 1 wicket each. Previously, the Nepali team had a disappointing performance in Canada for League 2, but since arriving in the US, the players have shown promising performances.
