The main opposition party, Nepali Congress, on Tuesday, says it has sent Rs 4.5 million to 30 districts across the country to spend on rescue and relief activities to be carried out in response to floods and landslides.
Rs 150,000 each has been provided to the party’s district committees in the following districts, the party says:

- Syangja
- Baglung
- Myagdi
- Palpa
- Taplejung
- Okhaldhunga
- Sankhuwasabha
- Parvat
- Sindhupalchok
- Mahottari
- Parsa
- Dhading
- Panchthar
- Tehrathum
- Makawanpur
- Bara
- Sarlahi
- Kavre
- Rasuwa
- Dhanusha
- Sindhuli
- Bajhang
- Jajarkot
- Khotang
- Bajura
- Kaski
The party hopes the funds will help the local party cadres in effectively handling the disasters.
