Kathmandu, April 12
Former president Ram Baran Yadav has called on all political parties to join hands for the implementation of the new constitution.
He said promulgation of the constitution through a Constituent Assembly has fulfilled seven-decade-old aspirations of the people. Yadav said this at a programme that Antenna Foundation had organised in Kathmandu on Tuesday. Acknowleding challenges in the implementation of the constitution, Yadav said: Overcoming these challenges will not be impossible if political parties stand together.
The constitution has given equal opportunities to every cast, lingustic group, class, community and geographic region, Yadav said and stressed the need to implement the charter effectively.
He said: Political parties should come together and implement the constitution. If that happens, national prosperity is not that far.
