Nepal’s Mach24 Orbital showcases space innovation at Startup Mahakumbh 2025

Kathmandu, April 10

Mach24 Orbital, a Nepal-based space-tech company, participated in Startup Mahakumbh 2025, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from April 3 to 5.

The Mach24 Orbital team, led by Founder Mohan Tamang, Co-Founders Rubita Magar and Himalaya Adhikari, and aerospace engineer Sunil Bista, showcased the Garuda SR rocket. They also had the opportunity to engage in discussions with prominent figures from India’s space ecosystem, including executives from IN-SPACe, focusing on the Hybrid Propulsion Engine developed by the team.

During the event, the team interacted with Piyush Goyal, India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, discussing regional collaboration, innovation beyond borders, and India’s support for Nepali innovation.

“Our pod attracted a diverse audience, including industry experts, policymakers, and aspiring entrepreneurs,” reads a social media post by Mach24 Orbital. “We showcased our latest advancements in orbital logistics and satellite technology, receiving commendable interest and feedback.”
