The national cricket team skipper Paras Khadka says although he was saddened by the ICC’s move to suspend Nepal’s cricket association, he takes it as an opportunity for a fresh start to cricket in the country.
Khadka, who was spoke to Onlinekhabar a day after the world governing body suspended CAN, said, that the ICC had to act to prevent stagnation in the sport in Nepal, and so it did.
“The ICC has said it will move forward by discussing things with the stakeholders here. Now it is up to us to take the opportunity to give cricket a fresh start in Nepal,” said Khadka. He said that even before the suspension, chances of CAN getting back to normal were slim.
