Kathmandu, July 10
The central bank has directed banks across the country to remain open full-time this Saturday also for revenue collection.
Nepal Rastra Bank’s Regulation Department Chief Dev Kumar Dhakal says the banks of grade A, B, and C have been directed to stay open on public holidays also as the end of the current fiscal year is just a few days away. Nepal Clearing House will also be open tomorrow, according to him.
The central bank used to issue a similar directive in the past years also. The bank hopes that the decision would also help businesses and common people who could not pay revenues on time due to lockdown restrictions.
