Kathmandu, February 8

CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, who is widely viewed as the next prime minister of the country, has discussed issues related to the new government formation process, with his poll coalition partner, CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The two leaders also discussed proposed unification between the two parties, according to a source privy to the discussion. However, no other details including location of the meeting have not been divulged.

As the National Assembly elections have been over and the Election Commission is preparing to announce final results of parliamentary elections, Oli wants to form the new government in his leadership at the earlier. In addition, the Maoist Centre wants to unify the two parties as they had promised the voters before the polls held in November and December last year.

The left alliance leaders have expected that the one-on-one meeting would resolve both the issues.
