With the immediate threat to the KP Oli government gone after UCPN-Maoist Chair Prachanda appeared reluctant to side with the main opposition Nepali Congress, Maoist leader Janardan Sharma ‘Prabhakar’ said on Thursday that the Oli government will remain in power till the formation of a national consensus government.
He appealed all not to believe in what he called ‘rumours’ about the Maoist party’s efforts to topple the current government.
Prabhakar, speaking at the Parliament on Thursday, claimed his party was not in bid to cause the collapse of this government. He said the Maoist party was ready to offer help even if a government takes shape under the leadership of parties other than his own party.
Prabhakar, also a former peace minister, further accused the government of delaying the peace process instead of taking it to a logical conclusion. We are against this act, he said without elaborating.
Prabhakar criticised the government for failing to control black marketing and taking other steps to provide relief to the people.
