Kathmandu, September 17
As a protest against the assault against doctors, all OPD services throughout the country have been shut down.
This comes after two doctors were assaulted physically at Sancho Hospital in Hetauda on September 13.
The Nepal Medical Association said that a state of terror has been created in the entire health sector as the culprits are yet to be arrested and brought to book even five days after the incident. It said the doctors were assaulted when they were treating a patient.
NMA also warned of waging a protest movement if action was not taken against the culprits.
The NMA has also called on the government to make arrangements for delivering health services in a fear-free environment along with the provision of the Medical Security Force at health institutions across the country.
