Design and display
Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G is a beautifully designed phone. The phone has a build of a glass front, glass back and an aluminium frame. The glass on the front and the back gets a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The back of the phone is eye-catching and more importantly, it is fingerprint repellent. The user can show off their phone without worrying about the fingerprint smudges all over the phone. The phone also has curved edges adding a premium feel to the phone.
Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G features 6.55 inches of HDR10+ AMOLED display which has a maximum resolution of 1,080*2,400 pixels. The display has a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate and can achieve a peak brightness of up to 800 nits. The screen-to-body ratio of the phone is a whopping 92.1%. It also features an under-display optical fingerprint sensor and features two ambient light sensors that automatically adapts to the environment to give an accurate screen brightness.
Cameras
Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G features a quad-camera setup. The main 64MP camera on the back is housed together with an 8MP 120-degree ultrawide and a couple of 2MP macro and depth sensors. It also houses a colour temperature sensor that records white balance in real-time, speeds up the shutter and provides greater colour accuracy. It also features an AI palette to replicate the style of your favourite photos.
Meanwhile, it can record 4K resolution videos at 30 fps and has video features like focus tracking, AI highlight video and Bokeh flare portrait mode.
On the front, there is a 32MP selfie shooter that can record 1080p resolution videos.

Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G features a flagship MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G (6nm) chipset while the phone runs on Android 11 with ColorOS 11.3 on top. This is the best chipset from Mediatek on a smartphone and features a couple of other smartphones from Xiaomi and OnePlus. For ultimate gaming, the phone offers a quick startup and game focus mode feature.
There is a 4,500mAh non-removable battery on the phone. The battery supports 65W Super VOOC 2.0 fast charging. This fast charger gets the phone fully charged in just 31 minutes. The phone also has a super power-saving mode and super nighttime standby features to maximise battery power.
Storage, connectivity and other features
Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G comes in a single variant here. The huge 12GB of RAM comes with 256GB of internal storage. There is no slot for a microSD card for expanding the memory of the phone, but 256GB should do the justice. However, the phone has the option of expanding the RAM memory. The user has the option of expanding 7GB of their internal storage memory to RAM memory.
The phone supports multiple 5G network bands and also dual-band Wi-Fi. It also supports Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C 2.0 and is NFC enabled. The phone does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack but supports a Type-C earphone.

Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G is an eye-catching smartphone and is the best one from Oppo in Nepal. It offers a spectacular display with a 92.1% screen. The design is equally good as well and to put the cherry on top, the phone weighs only 177 grams and is only 7.6mm thick. The cameras on the phone are also good as they capture high-resolution photos and videos. The phone also features a flagship processor and has huge RAM storage with an expansion option.
The only thing hurting Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G is its price. There are lots of smartphones on the market that have an equally impressive build, similar or even better processor, similar camera performance and storage option and are way cheaper than Oppo Reno 6 Pro. The users have the option to go for OnePlus Nord 2 5G, Realme GT Neo 2, Poco F3, Poco F3 GT and none of them will be a disappointment. With the intense competition in the market right now, it is really hard for this smartphone to overcome the existing leaders. Though it is a good smartphone, value for money is something it lacks.
