Main opposition CPN-UML and other opposition parties obstructed Monday’s meeting of the Parliament as well. With lawmakers from these parties leaving their chairs and standing up in protest, Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar postponed the Parliament meeting till 4 pm.
During this break, Speaker Gharti Magar will try to convince parties concerned to reach a deal, the Parliament Secretariat informed.
Gharti Magar has repeatedly asked the opposition parties to remove obstacles. However, the parties have been saying they will not remove the obstructions unless the government withdraws the Constitution Amendment Bill.
