POCO has released its premium mid-range smartphone, POCO F5 Pro along with POCO F5. The phone is the rebranded version of Redmi K60 Pro continuing the F series after its successful X series including POCO X5 Pro 5G.
POCO F5 Pro is completely the same as K60 Pro but just with POCO branding. Even though it is a rebranded version, the phone for the price range provides a power-packed performance and experience bringing back the old POCO vibe and flagship killer specs.

Design and display
POCO F5 Pro is completely the same even in terms of the design of Redmi K60 Pro. The only difference is the POCO vs Redmi branding on the back. It has rounded edges and corners which go along with the silver-finished plastic frame.
The back is made up of glass which has a glossy finish. The black colour option has patterned carbon fibre-type edges whereas the white colour option has a single-tone finish. There is a triple camera setup on the back, which is enclosed in a rectangular box with slanted edges on either side with a matte finish. The front is like all the mid-range and premium mid-range potions with a hole-punch camera cutout and thin bezels but not completely bezel-less with a thickness of 8.59mm.
POCO F5 Pro boasts a stunning 6.67-inch WQHD+ Flow AMOLED DotDisplay with a resolution of 3200×1440 pixels and a pixel density of 526 ppi. The display supports a wide range of colours, thanks to its DCI-P3 wide colour gamut. The adaptive HDR and Dolby Vision technologies enhance the display viewing experience.
It features a high refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 480Hz. POCO F5 Pro features Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5 protection and IP53 dust and splash resistance, safeguarding the screen against scratches, water and dust. It also supports HDR 10+ and 1920Hz PWM dimming, enhancing the overall visual quality for a more immersive experience.
Performance
POCO F5 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform, which consists of an octa-core CPU configuration. The CPU includes 1x Arm Cortex-X2 core clocked at up to 3.0GHz, 3x Arm Cortex-A710 cores clocked at up to 2.5GHz, and 4x Arm Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. In terms of graphics processing, the device utilises the Qualcomm® Adreno 730 GPU. It runs on MIUI 14 for POCO, based on the Android 13 operating system.
POCO X5 Pro is available in two RAM options: 8GB and 12GB. The phone also has a virtual RAM feature where the 8GB option can increase the RAM to 13GB and the 12GB option to 19GB. The 8GB RAM option is paired with one storage option of 256GB and the 12GB option is paired with two storage options of 256GB and 512GB respectively.
Camera
POCO F5 Pro features a triple rear camera setup, including a 64MP primary camera with 4-in-1 pixel binning technology. It also has an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The rear camera has OIS for stability in photos and videos. It has video features like movie effects and clone mode, and it supports AI-powered 8K video recording at 24fps, as well as 4K recording at 60fps and 30fps, 1080p recording at 30fps and 60fps, and 720p recording at 30fps.
POCO F5 Pro features a 16MP front camera with an aperture of f/2.45. It supports video recording at 1080p resolution with both 60fps and 30fps options, as well as 720p recording at 30fps.
Battery and others
POCO F5 Pro is equipped with a 5160mAh (typical) battery, providing ample power for your daily usage. It supports 30W wireless charging, allowing for convenient and cable-free charging. Additionally, the device offers fast wired charging with a 67W capability. POCO F5 Pro is equipped with various sensors, including a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, electronic compass, IR blaster, and gyroscope.
For connectivity, POCO F5 Pro features Bluetooth 5.3 for seamless wireless communication and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax support, ensuring fast and reliable internet connectivity. The device supports dual sim functionality, allowing you to use two SIM cards simultaneously.
In terms of security, it offers an in-screen fingerprint sensor for convenient and secure unlocking, along with AI face unlock for an alternative biometric authentication method.
