Qatar Airways on Friday organised a seminar to discuss opportunities and challenges of tourism industry in Nepal.
At the event, stakeholders had spoken about various issues that the industry in Nepal is facing.
As a part of the event, a panel discussion was also organised. The government’s Tourism Secretary Maheshwor Neupane, Nepal Tourism Board Chief Executive Officer Deepak Raj Joshi, Dolma Foundation President Tim Gocher, Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents President Madhu Sudan Acharya, Soaltee Crown Plaza General Manager Upaul Majumdar, tourism entrepreneur Jyotshna Shrestha, journalist Yubaraj Ghimire and Banker Anil K Shah spoke of various issues as panelists.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jitendra Narayan Dev inaugurated the event, saying, “Each non-resident Nepali should act as an ambassador of Nepal and bring at least one tourist. Nepal is unique in its own way and the country will definitely boom in Tourism in coming years.”
