Butwal, August 25
Sajha Party chief Rabindra Mishra has demanded that the government independently investigate property details of all senior politicians and bureaucrats who held power in the government after 1990. He is of the view that doing so would reveal big corruption cases of the time.
Mishra further claims if his party ever gets a chance to lead the government, the very first cabinet meeting will make a decision about it.
Speaking with journalists in Butwal of Rupandehi district on Sunday, the journalist-turned-leader said all big corruption scams of the country involved senior politicians and bureaucrats, adding probing their property details would discourage corruption.
In another context, he demanded that the parties dissolve their sister organisations to ensure good governance as they involved themselves in tampering with the system.
Mishra accused the government of acting against liberalism and free press.
