Realme has been very active these past months. It has released a couple of smartphones including Realme C21Y, Realme 8i and their premium mid-range Realme GT Neo 2. Now, it has launched Realme Narzo 50A.

The company in fact has released two smartphones together: Narzo 50A and Narzo 50i, and both of them are budget smartphones that can be purchased under Rs 25,000. Between the two, the new Narzo 50A is relatively more premium. Yet, besides having a powerful 6000mAh battery, the phone might not attract people looking for a high number of features. Nonetheless, for a budget market, this phone proves a fair deal.

Design and display

Realme Narzo 50A has a glass front, polycarbonate back and a plastic frame. The back has a matte texture that avoids the fingerprints to stay there and makes the phone smudge-free. The rear also mounts the camera setup as well as fingerprint sensor and the Narzo branding. At the front is the water-drop style notch that houses a single camera. The fingerprint sensor on the back is placed a bit higher than usual and it works fast. It weighs around 207 grams.

Cameras both on the front and rear can capture videos in 1080p only while the rear allows you to capture in 60fps. It has different camera modes like night mode, slo-mo, time-lapse, pro mode, ultra macro and 50M.

The battery backup is huge on Narzo 50A. It boasts a 6,000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. This can be great for binge-watching, having a gaming session and surfing YouTube videos without worrying much about the battery life. With this power, you can enjoy 53 days of standby time, 48 hours of call time, 27 hours of YouTube, 111 hours of Spotify and eight hours of gaming.

The phone can be charged with an 18W fast charger, and the phone also supports reverse charging. But, you need an OTG cable for that. And even when you are low on battery, the phone has a super power saving mode that gives you 144 minutes of call time on 5% power.
