Kathmandu, January 12
A teacher at the Ratna Rajya Laxmi (RR) Campus of Kathmandu has been arrested on the charge of sexual violence.
The suspect has been identified as Bishnu Prasad Acharya, 45.
The teacher at one of the most crowded academic institutions of the capital was arrested at the college premises on Monday, according to police.
SSP Ashok Singh, the chief of the Metropolitan Police Range in Kathmandu, says he was arrested on the charge of committing sexual violence against a female student of the institution.
SSP Singh says Acharya has been remanded in custody for further investigation, and a probe has already started.
