CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli says ruling parties are misusing state power to defeat CPN-UML in the third phase of local level elections to be held in Province 2 next Monday.
Addressing a mass assembly organised under the party’s election campaign in Jitpur Simara of Bara district today, Oli said his party would work for overall economic development of the country.
He said Madheshi people must vote for the UML to launch various development projects in the region including a ring road in Janakpur, expansion of Birgunj-Pathalaiya road, construction of an international airport in Nijgadh, and construction of special economic zones.
“We do not have enough money to throw parties, neither do we have time to incite people with unnecessary accusations,” he said, “Now, we are on the journey to prosperity.”
Meanwhile, Oli also accused other parties of promoting violence and conflicts in the region.
