Kathmandu, March 7
Madheshi lawmakers from the Nepali Congress have demanded a judicial investigation into the Saptari killing of three UDMF protesters during the CPN-UML’s Mechi-Mahakali campaign.
Lawmakers from Province 2 are meeting Prime Minister Prachanda to put forth this demand. Lawmaker Mahendra Yadav said they will be demanding a judicial investigation into the Saptari incident and action against the guilty.
NC lawmakers also asked all concerned to exercise restraint for preventing further losses.
