Chitwan, May 12
An unidentified group set fire to a Small Haven School Kalyanpur bus intended for student pickup near Dadreni-20 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City in Chitwan.
According to information provided by the school, six individuals torched Bagmati Province bus number 06 001 Ka 0045, scheduled to pick up students via Chanauli and Dadreni.
The bus sustained complete damage from the fire. The perpetrators, arriving on three motorbikes, doused the bus with petrol before setting it ablaze. They are currently at large.
Additionally, the individuals who ignited the fire also robbed the co-driver of the bus of their mobile phone. The co-driver reported that the group stated, “We warned of action, and we followed through.”
The District Police Office Chitwan confirmed the deployment of a police team to extinguish the fire and initiate further investigation.
