Kailash Sirohiya, the president of Kantipur Media Group, who was arrested for investigation on the charge of obtaining dual citizenship, will be detained for 3 days.
The District Court Dhanusha has allowed the police to keep him in custody for 3 days. The police, through the District Government Attorney’s Office, demanded that Sirohiya be detained for 5 days. But Court official Kailash Bhattarai informed that the bench of District Judge Chudaman Khadka allowed the police to keep him in custody for 3 days.
Sirohiya was arrested by a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office on Tuesday. He was brought to Janakpur on Tuesday night.
