While investigating the arrest of six persons including former national footballer Anjan KC over IPL matches, police found the involvement of gangster Dawa Sherpa as well.
According to SSP Bishwaraj Pokharel, Chief of Metropolitan Police Range, Lama is on the run and search for him is underway.

Six including former national football player arrested over IPL betting
Kathmandu, May 29
Police have arrested six persons, including a former national footballer, for their alleged involvement in betting during the Indian Premier League (IPL), on Tuesday morning.
A team deployed by the Kathmandu Metropolitan Range arrested former footballer Anjan KC, Gaurav Tiwari, Dinesh Bogati, Narendra Suwal, and Bijay Shrestha among others this morning.
SSP Bishworaj Pokharel, Chief of the range said, “Six persons, including former footballer Anjan KC were arrested on the charge of betting in the IPL. They will be made public at a press conference soon.”
KC, who is also a former Three-Star Club coach, was is also facing match-fixing charges after his arrest in 2015.
The Asian Football Confederation has then imposed a lifetime ban on KC and four other footballers for match-fixing.
