Kathmandu, January 12
The Supreme Court has quashed a writ petition that demanded an order to block the implementation of the new curricula in grades 11-12 of the country’s school education.
A division bench of justices Tej Bahadur KC and Prakash Kumar Dhungana issued the verdict on Tuesday in response to a petition filed by Bhagawat Aryal among others, according to the court’s spokesperson Bhadrakali Pokharel.
The Curriculum Development Centre and most of the universities of the country were made defendants in the case.
As the case was sub-judice, the government had been unable to introduce the new curricula although they were already issued for implementation.
