Kathmandu, June 22
The Supreme Court has issued an interim order telling Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to relieve 20 ministers* appointed after the dissolution of the House of Representatives of their positions.
Following the order, Oli only has five members in the cabinet including himself.
A division bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana and Justice Prakash Kumar Dhungana issued the order in response to several writ petitions filed against the expansions made on June 4 and June 10.
The petitioners had argued that the government has already turned into a caretaker status following the announcement of the elections and hence the constitution does not allow the PM to appoint new ministers.
The following members of the cabinet retained their jobs:

- Krishna Gopal Shrestha
- Basanta Kumar Nembang
- Lila Nath Shrestha
The following members have been removed:
