Kathmandu, February 25
A task force formed by the CPN-UML and the CPN-Maoist Centre has mooted establishing executive committees at five levels once their parties will be unified into one.
The task force is proposing executive committees at central, provincial, district, local government (municipalities and rural municipalities) and ward levels.
The panel formed to propose the draft for the statute of the party says the five-level committees are necessary to reflect the newly adopted federal structure.
At the centre, there can be three committees including standing committee, politburo and central committee. At the provincial level, there will be provincial committees and secretariats.
Meanwhile, leaders of two parties exchanged each-other’s statutes, political and organisational reports and other documents for studying.
Also, the panel led by Maoist Centre leader Ram Bahadur Thapa has appointed its member UML leader Gokarna Bista as the spokesperson.
Bista says the panel will complete its assignment within next 12 days.
