Kathmandu, June 8
The KP Oli government has approved Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun’s upcoming formal visit to China. VP Pun aka Pasang is visiting China on June 10-16.
Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting approved the high-level visit, Minister for Industries, Som Prasad Pandey, informed.
Meanwhile, the government has transferred some secretaries. It has transferred Gajendra Thakur, secretary at the Ministry of Science, to the Ministry of Irrigation. It has transferred Irrigation Secretary Anup Kumar Upadhyaya to the science ministry.
Meanwhile, the government has promoted Bhogendra Raj Dotel, Jhalak Sharma Poudel and Chandra Dev Mahato to the 11th level under the health service.
It has decided to provide Rs 16.56 lakh for the treatment of Sindhu Upreti of Jhapa. Upreti, injured in course of a political movement about a decade ago, is undergoing treatment in Thailand. Minister Pandey said the government will provide the money through the Nepali Embassy in Thailand.
