Bhaktapur, October 4
Minister for Defence Bal Krishna Khand said on Thursday his government is making preparations to review the national security policy that the previous administration (KP Oli government) had formulated as it is ‘incomplete’.
Minister Khand said this while addressing a face-to-face at Rafat Sanchar Club in Bhaktapur. Khand said the objective is to bolster national defence.
Nepal’s security is strong enough, but there still is a need to bolster defences in view of possible threats, the defence minister maintained.

There is a need to modernise Nepal Army and national security policy, he pointed, adding that his government is making preparations for the same.
Nepal will not allow the use of its territories against any country, Khand said, adding that the national army is cautious when it comes to controlling terrorism-related activities.
With the country embracing federalism, Nepal Army is also restructuring itself, he informed.
