Shallow quake of 5.6 mag jolts Nepal

A magnitude 5.6 temblor rocked Nepal in the early hours of Monday. There have been no reports of loss of life or property.

According to the National Seismological Centre, 5: 20 am jolt was an aftershock form the 2015 April quake, and its epicenter was on the border between Ramechhap and Solukhumbu districts in eastern Nepal.

The United States Geological Survey said the quake was at a depth of 10 km, shallower than the April quake which had a depth of 18 km.
