Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said on Wednesday there’s no alternative to conducting local level elections by forging an all-party understanding.
PM Prachanda said: For ending the prevailing political standoff, parties should reach an understanding and gear up for elections.
Prachanda, inaugurating Prime Minister’s Agriculture Modernisation Superzone Project, in Kailali, made it clear that his government will not withdraw the Constitution amendment proposal.
At the programme, Prachanda said this project will help modernise agriculture in Kailali, the country’s topmost district in terms of wheat production.
The project is the first of its kind in the country. Based in Udasipur, a project office comprising nine staffers oversees the entire project. Apart from Udasipur, the project covers Basauti, Pahalmanpur and Masuriya, Suraj Pokharel, secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture Development, informed.
