Kathmandu, November 5
The Supreme Court has dismissed the government appeal seeking the revision to an earlier order that urged the government to ensure free test and treatment of Covid-19.
A full bench of justices Hari Krishna Karki, Sapana Malla Pradhan, and Purushottam Bhandari on Thursday decided not to continue heading of the appeal filed by the Ministry of Health and Population.
Earlier on October 1, the apex court had issued a verdict telling the government to ensure free test and treatment. However, the government had filed an appeal for revision on Monday.
With the decision, the collection of charges for Covid-19 test and treatment is deemed illegal.
