Surkhet, April 26
The Surkhet District Administration Office has imposed a prohibitory order in the district where lies the Karnali provincial capital for one week, beginning Tuesday midnight.
A meeting of the District Covid-19 Crisis Management Committee made the decision on Monday, according to Chief District Officer Chhabi Lal Rijal.
“We decided to impose the prohibitory order after the coronavirus infection rate has gone out of control.”
During this one week, emergency-service vehicles such as ambulances, hearses, fire engines, and those of security personnel and health workers can ply, according to him.
Surkhet has more than 300 active Covid-19 cases currently.
