A rhino was found dead at Kavretaal near Baghmara post of the Chitwan National Park (CNP).
The park’s information officer, Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, says around two-year-old rhino was killed in a tiger attack.
The rhino’s hoofs are safe.
Twenty-four rhinos have died in Chitwan in the current fiscal year. Of them, two died due to poaching and 22 due to natural causes.
The national rhino census conducted last year has found 752 one-horned rhinos in Nepal, of which, 694 are in Chitwan.
