Its corners are curved along with the inner screen in front. The front has a water-drop notch selfie camera. Considering the price, the phone has quite thick bezels, yet they are bearable. The overall design is beautiful and simple.

It has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display. It has an FHD+ resolution of 1080X2340 pixels and a maximum refresh rate of 90Hz. The colour depth of the main display is 16 million and has a pixel density of 396.

Performance

It boasts a MediaTek Heli G99 (6nm) chipset, which is paired with an Octa-core CPU. The GPU is handled by Mali-G57 MC2, which along with the chipset gives out a decent performance. The phone can easily handle day-to-day activities and also mediocre gaming without much of a problem.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy A24 has a triple camera setup on the rear, which includes a 50Mp main camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The rear camera also includes OIS, which helps in stabilisation for less shaky photos and videos. It can also digitally zoom up to 10X. It can record FHD 1080p video at 30fps. It has features such as portrait, pano, HDR and Pro modes.

Battery and others

It supports dual sims, which can be added using the sim card slot in the top left corner. The slot also has a space for a MicroSD card for additional storage. The port for charging and sharing files is a type-C port. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is pretty rare nowadays even for a mid-range option.

There are three colour options available: black, green and silver.

Samsung Galaxy A24 is available in Nepal and costs Rs 29,000 for the 6/128GB option and Rs 33,000 for the 8/128GB option.

Verdict

Samsung Galaxy A24 is a continuation of Samsung’s A series in 2023. A series is one of the most popular series of Samsung in the global market. With its earlier versions, A34 and A54, already doing well in the market, it also has the potential to do good and be a tough competition for other mid-range smartphones.
