The 2024 Fan Edition of Samsung’s flagship S24 series, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, has officially launched in Nepal. As the successor to last year’s Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, which performed well in its price range, the S24 FE is expected to continue the trend. The S23 FE competed in the sub-Rs 100,000 price segment.
There are a few major changes in the S24 FE which have resulted in a slight increase in the price too. The major change between the S24 FE and its predecessor, the S23 FE is the larger display size and chipset. The display size has gradually increased, almost near the size of the flagship Galaxy S24+. The other change is the chipset, which has not been the Snapdragon chipset version till now. Samsung shipped the S32 FE to the American market with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and Exynos chipset to the rest of the world. The S24 FE gets the in-house Exynos chip as standard globally.
Other minor updates in the Galaxy S24 FE from the S23 FE are the build, camera features, slightly larger battery, and new colour options. In its price segment, the S24 FE is set to compete against the Xiaomi 14, OnePlus 12R, and iPhone 13 in Nepal.

Design and Display
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has the same universal design as other Samsung smartphones in recent years with the triple rear camera setup. With the increased size of the dimension and display, the smartphone is slightly narrower giving a much more premium feel. The back of the smartphone is made up of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ whereas the frame is made up of aluminium. The rear camera lens is enclosed in metal rings which goes along with the aluminium frame.
The front of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has a centred hole-punch cutout which houses the selfie camera. The bezels on the other hand are slightly thinner in comparison to the S23 FE. Even though the bezels are thinner than the S23 FE, in comparison to other smartphones in the same segment.
It has a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 (FHD+) and supports a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate for a great visual experience. It also reaches a peak brightness of 1900 nits for clear visibility in bright sunlight and can show up to 16 million colours.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE also has a solid build with the front glass protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. It also has IP68 dust and water resistance for further safety and protection.
Performance and Storage
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is powered by the Exynos 2400e chipset which was recently launched for fast and optimal performance. It features a deca-core CPU, including 1 Cortex-X4 core running at 3110 MHz, 2 Cortex-A720 cores at 2900 MHz, 3 Cortex-A720 cores at 2600 MHz, and 4 Cortex-A520 cores at 1950 MHz. This combination provides a balance between power and efficiency. The Xclipse 940 GPU enhances the smartphone’s graphics capabilities.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is available in one memory option including 8GB RAM paired with 256GB storage option. The smartphone runs on One UI 6.1 based on Android 14. Samsung is set to provide 7 years of OS updates and 7 years of security updates which at the price range is very impressive.
AI features
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE offers several AI features to make everyday tasks easier for users. With the “Circle to Search” feature, users can search effortlessly by drawing a circle around an object on the screen. “Live Translate” provides real-time voice translation during calls, while the “Interpreter” function helps users with conversation translation in two languages. The smartphone also has “Browsing Assist” which uses AI to summarize website content instantly, helping users understand information quickly. These features require an internet connection and are pretty handy for quick tasks.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE’s camera comes with AI features that enhance photo editing. With “Photo Assist” users can easily resize, move, and remove unwanted objects, transforming regular photos into stunning images using AI-powered tools. The “Sketch to Image” feature allows users to draw from scratch or on a photo, with AI turning the sketch into a new image.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50 MP main camera with an aperture of F1.8, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera (F2.2), and an 8 MP telephoto camera (F2.4). It is equipped with autofocus and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for stable shots. The telephoto camera has 3x optical zoom, 2x optical quality zoom enabled by the Adaptive Pixel sensor and digital zoom up to 30x.
For video recording, the Galaxy S24 FE supports impressive resolutions, including UHD 8K at 30fps, 4K at 30/60/120fps, and 1080p at 30/60fps and slow-motion at 240fps in FHD and 120fps in both FHD and UHD. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is powered by a 4700 mAh battery supporting 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, along with reverse wireless charging capabilities. The battery capacity is slightly larger than the S23 FE which with the new chipset and OS gives a longer battery life.
In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy S24 FE features Wi-Fi support for 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax on 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands, as well as Bluetooth 5.3 for seamless connections with other devices.
