Kathmandu, August 11
On the first day of trading week, Sunday, a new record has been set in the stock market. On this day, a total of Rs 25.77 billion worth of transactions has occurred. The previous record was Rs 23.71 billion.
Not only transactions but also the market index NEPSE has surpassed 2800 points. Investors had viewed the 2800-point mark as a resistance level. Compared to the previous day, the NEPSE index increased by 94.46 points to stand at 2860 points.
Out of 225 companies, 15 saw a decrease in value, while 2 remained stable. All sectoral indicators have increased.
The values of companies such as National Hydropower, Nerude Mirimire Microfinance, HIDCL, Khani Khola Hydropower, Aankhukhola Hydropower, Upper Tamakoshi, Shubham Power, Atmanirbhar Microfinance, Mid-Solu Hydropower, United Idi Mardhi, Singti Hydropower, Ridi Power, Arun Valley Hydropower, NIC Asia Microfinance, Himal Dolkha Hydropower, Arun Kabeli Power, and Shivshri Hydropower increased by 10 per cent.
NIFRA and Threestar Hydropower saw their values increase by 9.8 per cent. The value of Kuthali Bukri Small Hydropower decreased by 10 per cent. The value of Unilever Nepal fell by 3.85 per cent.
Based on transaction amounts, Himalayan Reinsurance, Shivam Cement, NIFRA, Nepal Finance, and Upper Tamakoshi were at the forefront.
