Kathmandu, February 3
Basanta Panchami, dedicated to the worship of Goddess Saraswati, is being celebrated across Nepal today. The day holds special significance for students, as it is believed that worshipping Saraswati on this occasion enhances knowledge and wisdom.
One of the key traditions of the festival is initiating young children into learning. Parents bring their children, who are about to start school, to temples where they are introduced to letters by writing on the temple walls. Many devotees have gathered at the Saraswati Temple in Kathmandu, embracing this ritual with faith and devotion.
Here is a glimpse of the celebrations through our photo feature.
