Kathmandu, February 28
A flight carrying Foreign Minister Arzu Rana was unable to land in Kathmandu due to bad weather and was diverted to Kolkata.
According to Rana’s advisor, Ekaraj Pathak, the Qatar Airways flight from Doha landed in Kolkata after multiple unsuccessful attempts to land in Kathmandu.
Rana was returning to Nepal after attending a United Nations meeting in Geneva.
Earlier today, light rainfall was recorded in the Kathmandu Valley due to the influence of a western low-pressure system.
