Popular comedian duo of Sitaram Kattel ‘Dhurmus’ and Kunjana Ghimire ‘Suntali’ on Wednesday morning laid foundation stone for an integrated settlement that they plan to build for victims of recent floods in Rautahat district.
The settlement will be constructed in Santapur village of the district targeting members of Majhi, Musahar, Hajam and Deshar communities.
Speaking at the function organised on the occasion, Kattel said total Rs 57.5 million will be invested in the project.
The Dhurmus Suntali Foundation aims to complete the construction and hand over residences to the targeted population within next five months.
Kattel says hotel entrepreneurs and locals of Province 2 will also extend support to the project.
Earlier, their Foundation had built an integrated settlement for earthquake victims in Giranchauchaur of Sindhupalchok district and another for Musahars in Mahottari district.
