Kathmandu, November 19
Durga Prasai has been arrested by the police from his residence in Bhaktapur.
Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) Chief Deepak Thapa confirmed the arrest, stating that Prasai has been brought under legal jurisdiction.
“We have just taken him into custody and are bringing him to the bureau for further investigation,” Thapa told Onlinekhabar. “We always monitor individuals spreading misinformation through social media. Based on preliminary findings, we have detained him for further inquiry.”
