Kathmandu, March 15
Former deputy prime minister and senior CPN-UML leader Bharat Mohan Adhikarki has left for Thailand for medical treatment.
In a press release, Adhikari’s secretariat said Adhikari left for Thailand on the recommendation of attending doctors for treatment of complications related to intestines and urinary system.
About three months ago, Adhikari had received treatment at Kantipur Hospital, which referred him to Vayodha Hospitals. At Vayodha, Adhikari underwent treatment for eight days.
It is learnt that Adhikari left for treatment at Vejthani Hospital on the recommendation of Dr Yuvaraj Sharma.
The 80-year-old leader has also been suffering from asthma and heart diseases.
