Kathmandu, May 15
Vandalism has become a part of protests in Nepal, it appears.
In course of their ‘peaceful protest’, Federal Alliance activists vandalised a government vehicle at Thapathali in Kathmandu on Sunday.
The protesters intercepted the vehicle numbered Ba 1 Jha 3610, which was coming from Baneshwor, at Thapathali. One of the protesters then smashed the vehicle’s rear window using a stick, even as the driver was asking protesters not to vandalise the four-wheeler, saying there’s a sick woman on board. At Maitighar, there’s a huge presence of security personnel. But top leaders of the FA have not arrived there. The situation is relatively peaceful there.
