Kathmandu, January 2
Police have arrested a foreign employment company on the charge of cheating more than Rs 1.9 million.
Jayram Poudel, 41, of Panauti Municipality in Kavrepalanchowk, the owner of Mars Manpower Services has been arrested, said the spokesperson at the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, SP Rabindra Regmi.
Poudel deceived two individuals, including Padam Kumari Shrestha, repeatedly, promising them job opportunities at a prestigious company and a monthly salary exceeding Rs 300,000 in Europe. He took Rs 1.96 million from the two.
Paudel has been transferred to the Department of Foreign Employment in Tahachal for additional investigation and necessary actions, as mentioned by Regmi.
