
Kathmandu, December 18
Police have detained four individuals in Kathmandu with Rs 6.8 million in cash of undisclosed origin.
The arrested include 46-year-old Rajkumar Mali of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, 18-year-old Awad Singh of New Baneshwor, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10, 27-year-old Yubaraj Subedi of Birtamod Municipality-5, Jhapa, and 32-year-old Pravesh Kumar Poudel of Arjundhara Municipality-7, Jhapa, currently residing in Kathmandu.
Police suspect the individuals were involved in illegal hundi transactions. Acting on a tip-off, a team from Gaushala Police Circle apprehended them on December 16 from Airport Shambhu Marg in Kathmandu.
Authorities confiscated cash, five cheques, five mobile phones, and a vehicle (Province 3-01-022 Ch 1972) from their possession. Investigations are ongoing.
