Kathmandu, April 15
One person died whereas two others sustained injuries after being hit by a bus at Besigaun, Jorpati on the northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu on Thursday afternoon.
The bus (Ba 3 Kha 1318) heading towards Sundarijal from Jorpati had hit a scooter (Bagmati province 02-012 Pa 5326) head-on yesterday. In the accident, Dipen Dahal (18), who was riding on the pillion on the scooter, died.
Sustaining critical injuries, he died during treatment at the Nepal Medical College, Jorpati, according to police.
The scooter rider and another pillion rider are injured and are undergoing treatment at the same health facility.
Police have arrested the bus driver for further investigation and action.
