Kathmandu, April 9
Police on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu have arrested a man on the charge of raping a seven-year-old girl recently.
The accused has been identified as Lok Bahadur Karki, 46, a permanent resident of Dhuskun in Sindhupalchok, currently residing in Gothatar on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu. He owns a restaurant there.
After being informed of the crime, the Metropolitan Police Sector in Kandaghari had mobilised a team to nab him, it has been learned.
The arrest was made on Wednesday night and further investigation is underway.
